Barbara (Machado) Servant, age 79 of Fall River & Portsmouth, RI passed away Nov. 3, 2011. Former wife of Omer Servant and the daughter of the late John R. and Almerinda “Alma” (Lopes) Machado. Prior to retiring, Barbara worked as a teacher’s assistant at the Doran School and was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She leaves her son, Michael Servant of Fall River, her two siblings, John Machado of Georgia and Helen Sullivan of Portsmouth, RI, five nieces & one nephew.
Following cremation, family & friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in St. Michael Church, 189 Essex St. Fall River. Arrangements are under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. Please omit flowers. Take 1st left onto highway ramp. Stay left to RT 79 NORTH. Proceed to the NORTH MAIN STREET exit. Turn right on to North Main Street. The funeral home is about 1/2 mile on the left. Take RIGHT onto BRIGHTMAN St., 2nd RIGHT onto ST. MARY St. to end, then RIGHT onto ESSEX St. to church. Parking lot across from church.
