HAVERHILL: Lorraine K. (Fuller) DesJardins, 70, died Monday, November 7, 2011 in the Merrimack Valley Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. DesJardins who died in 2006.
Born in Newburyport on December 28, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Florence (Sullivan) Fuller. She attended Hampton Public Schools and was a graduate of Newburyport High School. Lorraine had resided in Hampton, NH for many years before moving to Haverhill in 1958.
She was employed at A.W. Chesterton, Inc. in Groveland as a machine operator for many years until her retirement in 2001. Lorraine will be dearly missed by all of her family. They will hold close to their hearts all the good memories that they have.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne R. and Chad Gitschier of Haverhill; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond A. Jr., and Pamela DesJardins and Mark A. and Cindy DesJardins all of Haverhill; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Thompson of ME; one brother, Richard Sullivan of Deerfield, NH and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
