Shauffer, Selma, 95 of Swampscott passed away on November 8, 2011. Selma was born and raised in Chelsea. She attended the Chelsea School System and graduated Chelsea High School. She has been a resident of Swampscott since 1955. Selma was a retired buyer for Brook’s Specialty Shops of Lynn. She was a member of the Sisterhood at Temple Israel, Swampscott and a member of the Jewish Community Center, Marblehead.
Selma was the beloved wife of the late Murray Shauffer. She was the devoted mother of Alan Shauffer and the late Kenneth Shauffer. Selma was the dear sister of Eugene Green, Barbara Goodman, the late Lillian Hoffenburg, the late Florence Scotch, the late James Green, the late Alice Krisel and the late Robert Green. She was the loving grandmother of Chris, Jesse, Jenna, Marc and Nicole. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the Temple Israel Cemetery, 506 Lowell St. Peabody on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Donations in Selma’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
