Gary J. Giguere 57, of 133 Faith Dr., died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 6 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, after being stricken ill at his home.
He leaves his wife of 37 years, Patricia J. (Petruzzi) Giguere, his sons Patrick J. Giguere and his wife Kelly of W.Brookfield and Andrew J. Giguere and his fiancé Danyell of Holland, his mother Maude (Sweet) Manseau and her late husband Dick of Sarasota, Fl., two brothers John Giguere of St. Petersburg, Fl., and Leon Giguere of Debuque, Iowa, three sisters Karen Berard of E.Brookfield, Mary Gallant and her husband Dennis of Sarasota, and Debra St.James and her husband Randy of Sarasota, two grand children Jacob and Abigail Giguere of W.Brookfield several nieces and nephews.
Gary was a laborer for the Local 243 Laborers Union in Auburn for the past 30+ years. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Leon Giguere and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer, Class of 1972. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
He was proud to be a member of the Union. He adored his grand children. They were “the light of his life”. He looked forward to summer weekends doing his yard work and summer evenings on the deck with his family and friends. He loved his winter vacations and driving “Miss Daisy” wherever she wanted to go.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 11 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, No.Brookfield Rd., E.Brookfield.
Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 10 from 4 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
