Orleen Byrd, 86, Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Shady Acres Convalescent Home in Douglas, GA. Ms. Byrd was born on May 21, 1925 in Broxton, GA to the late Elbert and Nettie Merritt Byrd. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arvil Byrd. She was retired from the US Government as a civil servant at Warner Robbins Air Force Base.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Byrd is survived by: brothers: Denton (Winnie) Byrd, Bobby (Jean) Byrd and Arthur Byrd; sister: Charlotte (Dennis) Hursey); six nephews; three nieces, cousins and special friends: John Marshall and Rayeanne Gates.
