Barbara Ann Pantanella, age 76
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother
TEWKSBURY: Barbara Ann (Bregoli) Pantanella, age 76, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 20 years, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Wilmington Health Care Center.
She was the beloved wife of Louis Pantanella, with whom she celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on July 25, 2011.
Born in Somerville on February 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Hull) Bregoli.
She was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School.
Barbara dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed numerous craft projects, painting, and cake decorating. In addition, she loved traveling with her husband especially to Italy.
Barbara was a member of the Tewksbury Arts Society as well as the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center.
She was a former member of the Arlington Sons of Italy and Somerville Elks.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Anthony Pantanella and his wife Martha of Somerville, Michael Pantanella and his wife Denise and Susan Vickers all of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Danielle Dawson and her husband Michael, David, Mark , Matthew and Erica Pantanella; two great grandchildren, Annabelle and Holly Dawson; one sister, Priscilla Lynde of NC; one brother, Richard Bregoli of Lawrence.
Barbara was the mother of the late Donna Pantanella Gifford and sister of the late Janet Bregoli, Marilyn Richardson and Robert Bregoli.
Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 7, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Entombment at the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Malden.
