Obituary

Robert D. Millette, 63 of New Bedford died November 3, 2011 at home.
He was the husband of Claire M. (Hebert) Millette.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Florence (Thibeault) Millette of New Bedford and the late Eugene Millette, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Millette was formerly employed as a teacher at New Bedford High School for over 30 years until retirement.
He was an active volunteer with Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 65 in Fairhaven for 13 years.
Mr. Millette received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Swain School and his Masters of Education from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; three daughters, Tracie Millette-Shuman and her husband Mark of Stoughton, Julie Soares and her husband James of Freetown and Jayne Poch and her husband Matthew of Holden; seven grandchildren, Lane Shuman, Ari Shuman, Abigail Soares, Megan Soares, Tucker Soares, Katherine Poch and Ethan Poch; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ruth Seigal.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Tuesday, November 8th at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Church at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday, November 7th from 4-8 PM.
