Obituary

Garber, Jean Rose (Mitchell), 84, of Louisville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully Wednesday November 2, 2011.
Jean was a homemaker and a retired bookkeeper for Garber & Garber Consulting Engineers. She was an alumnus of Louisville Girls High School, an active participant in the Alumni Association, and a member of Mosaic United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Mitchell and sisters, Lavinia Kihnley and Vernetta Garcia.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Edward Garber; children, Sandra Chapman (Michael), David Garber (Debra), and Mark Garber (Pamela); grandchildren, Tim Chapman, Kristen Boston, Andrea Mc Leroy, Brigette Knizner, Sara Garber, Philip Garber, Allison Thomas, Sean Pence, Candiss Garber, and Daniel Garber; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday 1pm-8pm at the funeral home.
