WORCESTER-Marie I. (Spring) Cote, 89, of Worcester, died Monday, October 31st in her home. Her husband, Lawrence F. Cote, died in 1976. She leaves three sons, Lawrence W. Cote of Worcester, Kenneth A. Cote of Oxford, and Brian J. Cote of Worcester; five daughters, Kathleen M. Sadowski of Worcester, Virginia M. Confer of Newburgh, NY, Patricia A. Barton of Middleburg, FL, Kimberly Bovenzi of Auburn, and Jennifer Smith of Fitchburg; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael D. Cote in 1989, and two daughters, Margaret R. Levesque and Laureen M. Ernst, both earlier this year. She was also predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of William and Margaret (McCarthy) Spring and worked as a stitcher at Brown Shoe and an assembler at Paper Craft before retiring. Mrs. Cote was a member of St. Peter’s Church.
The funeral is Friday, November 4th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 9:30 A.M. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3rd in the funeral home.
