Kevin Lee Hale, 46, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Chapel West. Rev. Carlton Shelton will officiate. The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Chapel West on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Hale was born on April 19, 1965 in Tifton and was the son of Albert and Carolyn Hale of Watkinsville. He had been employed with Thaxton Turkey Farm and will be remembered for being an avid gardener and his love for growing flowers. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Ollie Hale, Carold and Gertrude Smith, and one brother.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Melissa Hale of Winterville; his children, Amber Hale and Clyde Hale, both of Winterville; one brother, Gary Hale; and his best friends, Jason Gresham, Tony Booth, Keith Butler, Katie Stephens and David Browning.
