Oscar Dubreuil, 84, of Mattapoisett died peacefully at Forest View Nursing Home, Wareham, Friday March 5, 2004. He was the husband of Rita (Jusseaume) Dubreuil, they were married 59 years.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Napoleon and Alice (Masse) Dubreuil, he lived in Mattapoisett for 50 years and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Mr. Dubreuil worked for A&P for many years before retiring as an assistant manager in 1970.
He was a lifetime member of the Fin Fur Feather Club and a charter member of the Wampanoag Camping Chapter. His greatest joy was his family. He loved gardening and could often be seen on his daily walks in Mattapoisett. He was a quiet gentle man that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his widow, a son, Leo Dubreuil of Wareham; a daughter, Cheryl Younghans, and her husband John, of Madison, Alabama; his 4 grandsons, Michael, Scott, Jason and Joshua; 1 great-grandson and 1 great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
He was the loving father of the late Diane Dubreuil and the brother of the late George Dubreuil, Leo Dubreuil, Albert Dubreuil and Gerard Dubreuil.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Tuesday, March 9th at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
