Viviana Maria Bonini, a long-time Medford resident, died Saturday at the Winchester Nursing Center. She was 87.
Viviana was born and raised in Italy, the daughter of the late Samuele and the late Caterina (Garda) Bonini. After completing her university studies in Italy she and her family came to the United States and eventually settled in Medford. After further studies at Boston University, Viviana went to work in the employee relations department at General Electric in Westwood, retiring after 31 years of service. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed good friendships with her many fellow parishioners at St. Francis in Medford.
She leaves her loving twin sister Violetta Bonini of Medford and is predeceased by sisters: Genevieve and Isabella Bonini and Florence Fiortini.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, November 2nd at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
