Betty Ann Gentz

ROCKLEDGE, FL - Betty Ann (Boyle) Gentz, age 79, a Licensed Practical Nurse, died peacefully on Friday night, October 28, at the Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late James L. Gentz, who died in 2000.
She was born in Lowell, May 19, 1932, the only child of Frank and Elsa (Burman) Boyle. She was raised in Lowell and Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury High School. Upon marriage she continued to live and raise her family in Tewksbury, while summering with her family at Hampton Beach, NH, for over 30 years. She and her husband retired to Florida in 1986.
She graduated from the Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing, and worked throughout her life as a private duty nurse. In retirement, she landed her dream job as a merchandiser at Disney World in Orlando, and enjoyed bringing her family and friends to the park during their Florida vacations.
She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Michael G. Gentz and his wife Winifred "Winnie" (Meuse), and Steven F. Gentz and his wife Joan (Sullivan) all of Tewksbury; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa K. Kenyon and her husband David of Rockledge, with whom she resided; a daughter-in-law, Jane (Wickwire) Gentz of Atkinson, NH, who was the wife of her late son, Kevin J. Gentz who died in 1998; nine grandchildren, Erika Dwyer, Jill Urquhart, Michael and Molly Gentz, Tracy Joyce, Stephen Gibbons, Kevin D. Gentz, Kristin Kenyon and Katelyn Kenyon; four great grandchildren, Kylie, Bennett, Kevin, and Benjamin; two sisters-in-law, Mary Dufresne of Vero Beach, FL, and Rita Stanton of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service was held on Thursday Nov. 3, in the funeral home. Following cremation, burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials to Wuesthoff Hospice House, 661 Eyster Blvd., Rockledge, FL 32955 will be appreciated.
