Morris, Alfred T., of Marshfield, formerly of Dorchester and Quincy, passed peacefully to his Heavenly Home with the Lord who was waiting for him on October 26.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Mary E. (Martin) Morris.
Devoted and loving father of Thomas A. Morris of Quincy and his dear wife Judith, Paul M. Morris of Sandwich and his dear wife Terri, MaryKate Bulman of Duxbury and her husband Michael, and Patti Whitmarsh of Seattle and her husband Gerry.
Cherished grandfather of John, Marybeth, and Sara , Morgan and Molly, Kerri, Katie and Patrick and the absolute joy of his great grandchild Noah.
Brother of his loving sister Eileen Gaudiano of Weymouth, Ralph Morris of Walpole, Richard Morris of Reading and Stephen Morris of Dorchester.
Also survived by his Aunt Catherine of Lynn and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Al’s love of his family, devotion to God and generosity of self were the hallmarks of his long and faithful life. So many hearts touched, so many smiles and laughter shared.
Al retired from the Boston Edison in l993 serving 42 years in the meter section.
He was also a former District Deputy and Grand Knight of Ave Maria Council #l535, Knights of Columbus. F
or Al, his family was the bright shining center of his life.
He enjoyed a deep and loving bond with his children and grandchildren, who adored him, along with his wife, Mary.
He helped provide his children with a wonderful life and many opportunities that contributed to their own personal success.
Al volunteered for many years at Miramar Retreat Center with Frank, the chef, in the kitchen and treasured the friendship of the Divine Word Fathers.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, October 30, at the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 3l at l0 a.m. at St. Ann by The Sea Church, 587 Ocean St., Marshfield.
