WRENTHAM: John L. Sargent, Jr., 68, died October 26, 2011, in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after a brief illness. He was the cherished son of the late John L. and Agnes R. (Hamilton) Sargent. John was born on June 16, 1943 in Haverhill and resided in Wrentham for most of his life.
He is survived by his loving brothers, William R. Sargent of Salem, and Jeffrey M. Sargent and his wife, Shirley of La Jolla, CA; a loving sister, Jane Berthelsen and her husband, Wendell of Methuen; five nieces and nephews, Philip Berthelsen of Methuen, Kate Berthelsen of Fort Collins, CO, Briana Sargent of San Diego, CA and Ryan and Deirdre Sargent of New Haven, CT. John also leaves many loving friends at the Wrentham Developmental Center in Wrentham, MA. John’s family would like to thank all of the staff and caregivers for the many years of love and support that they bestowed upon John.
