WORCESTER – Mrs. Rita M. (Chronchio) Desroches, 81, passed away Monday October 24th at St Vincent Medical Center.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Raymond Desroches of Auburn; a son, John Desroches and his wife Kathy of Oxford; a daughter, Maria Gerrol and her husband Daniel of Auburn; a brother, Matteo Chronchio and his wife Assunta of West Boylston, two sisters, Joanna Salvatore and her husband Philip of Worcester, and Elizabeth Fortin of Leicester; two grandchildren, Jennifer Desroches and Edwin Lynds III; and three great grandchildren.
Rita was pre-deceased by two brothers, Anthony and Albert Chronchio and a sister, Estelle Desroches.
She was born September 28, 1930 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Nicholas and Albina (Mancini) Chronchio.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Rita was educated through the Worcester Schools, graduating from Commerce High School. She worked as an assembler at Comeplay Toys and most recently at Paul Revere Insurance in the cafeteria.
Rita was a parishoner of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Her funeral will be held Friday October 28th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 10a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Worcester. Burial will be in St John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home, Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
