William D. Green, Jr. of Fall River passed away at age 57 on October 21st, surrounded by loving family and friends following a long battle with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis, which he fought with grace, tremendous strength, and unwavering faith.
Born December 29, 1953, William was the eldest child of Mary Lou Green and the late William D. Green, Sr. Mr. Green served briefly in the U.S. Army, US Navy and in the reserves. William received a silver medal for Power Lifting at the Goodwill Games in Russia 19xx and received an associate’s degree in biblical studies from Golden Gate School of Theology in 2005.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Gionet) Green, his son, William Green, III and granddaughters Brooklynne and Amariah Green of Richmond, VA; daughters, Shalyn and Lauren Green of North Providence, RI.; sisters, Mary, Deborah and Toni Green of Fall River, MA. William was preceded in death by his sister, Flora; and father William D Green Sr.
William enjoyed fishing, computers and weight training. Everyone loved William for his smile, sense of humor and strong faith.
A service will held Sunday October 30st at Graceway Community Church, 215 Forest Ave., Middletown, RI at 3:00 pm.
