TAUNTON – Helen (Zukowsky) Bushko, wife of George T. Bushko, died in Taunton on Oct. 23, 2011.
She was 82.
Born in Eynon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria (Serensky) Zukowsky.
Raised and educated in PA, she was a 1947 graduate of Archbald High School.
Mrs. Bushko moved to Milford, Connecticut in 1958, where she resided until relocating to the Taunton area eight years ago.
She was employed as a bookkeeper by Carbonella & DeSarbo of New Haven, CT for many years before retiring in 1994.
Mrs. Bushko spent the past eight years caring for her ailing husband, and in her spare time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, and knitting.
She absolutely adored her four grandchildren.
Her final days were spent in the care of her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Vincent, in their Taunton home.
Besides her husband and daughter, she leaves a son, Carl A. Bushko and his wife Andrea of West Chester, PA; four grandchildren, Jeremy and Joshua Vincent, both of Taunton, and Alex and Victoria Bushko, both of West Chester, PA; a brother, Anthony Zukowsky and his wife Mona of PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Oct. 28th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 27th from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
