In Stoughton, of Lee Terrace in Taunton, October 24, 2011 Russell W. Seekell died at Kindred Hospital in Stoughton at the age of 76. Born in Brockton, Russell was the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Cotter) Seekell. He was a graduate of Msgr James Coyle High School in Taunton class of 1954. During his youth, Russell played for many baseball and basketball teams in the city of Taunton. He was a retired construction worker and landscaper in the city of Taunton and also worked for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co.. He enjoyed Cape Cod, and especially the NY Giants. Russell was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton. He was the father of Kim Wade and her husband Brian of East Taunton and Wendy Blackwell and her husband Mark of East Taunton. Grandfather of Ryan, Erin, Jordan, Logan Wade, Caitlyn Feeney, Kylie and Kaci Blackwell all of East Taunton. Russell is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton Saturday, November 5th at 9 AM. Interment will be private.
