Viola P. (Dwyer) Mezzoni, 84, formerly of Dudley, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 peacefully in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
Her husband of 36 years, Vito Mezzoni died in 1984.
She was also predeceased by a son, John T. "Jack" Mezzoni who died in 2010.
Viola leaves behind one son; Frank L. Mezzoni and his wife Joyce A. Mezzoni of Thompson, Ct., a daughter; Donna Wisnewski of CA., 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Thomas and Josephine (Smelter) Dwyer and lived in Dudley for many years, before moving to Webster 6 years ago.
Viola worked in the cafeteria at Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley, then as a home healthaide for the Southern Worcester County Visiting Nurses in Webster.
She was a graduate of St. Louis High School in Webster and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley.
The Funeral will be Friday, October 28, 2011 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd.,in Dudley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
There will be a Calling Hour on Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster, prior to the Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Louis School Endowment Fund, 16 Lake St.,or Webster Manor, Resident Activities Fund, 745 School St., both Webster, MA. 01570.
