WORCESTER-Francis Cormier, 76, of Worcester died Saturday October 22nd, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Rita (Richard) Cormier; a son, Steven Cormier of Worcester; five daughters, Wanda DePasquale and her husband, Joseph of Oxford, Roxanne Barden and her husband, Scott of Thompson, CT, Patti Geddes and her husband, Darren, Audra DiLiddo and Karen Geddes all of Worcester; five brothers, Willie, Eddie, Henry, Tommy and Charlie; three sisters, Ruth, Aline and Margaret Rose all of Canada; five grandchildren, Megan Geddes, Payton Barden, Adam and Emily DiLiddo and Nathan Geddes and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son in law, Shawn Geddes; a brother, Robert and three sisters, Rita, Ida and Levina.
Mr. Cormier was born in Adamsville, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Hector and Margaret (Arsenault) Cormier. Francis worked at Felters Company in Millbury for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo and was a big Boston Bruins fan.
His graveside service will be held on Friday, October 28th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 9:30 AM in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 27th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM with a service at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
