Obituary

Robert L. Mulvanity, 76, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Beverly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Norma L. (Eastwood) Mulvanity, with whom he shared fifty-eight years of marriage.
Born in Lawrence on Nov. 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Landry) Mulvanity and Raymond Walsh. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1952. He then served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Mulvanity was employed as a sheet metal foreman at Utility Metal in Beverly for over forty years.
A Danvers resident for more than fifty years, he had previously served as the manager of the Blue Angels and Shooting Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. He was an avid Boston sports fan who enjoyed skiing and golfing, but most especially loved spending time with his cherished family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cathy Toomey and her husband John of Sandown, NH and Lori Naero and her husband Roger of Norway, two sons, Mark Mulvanity and his wife Cheri Crowe of Reading and Robert Mulvanity and his wife Bridget of Tewksbury, 10 grandchildren, Meredith, Ashley, Sarah, William, and Cori Mulvanity, Meaghan and James Toomey, and Brianna, Evan, and Olivia Naero, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marlene Doyle and Carol Shalkowski, and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Danvers Parents for Music Education, PO Box 2145, Danvers, MA 01923.
