Therese “Teri” D. Clough, 90, of Medway, passed peacefully on October 21, 2011 at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Clough for 55 years. One of five daughters of the late Margaret and Coleman Devine, she was born and raised in Norwood and graduated form Norwood High School.
In addition to her husband, Teri is survived by two sisters, Mary Devine and Margaret Gordon, both of Norwood; a dear cousin, Mary Grady and her husband, Jim of Norwood; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Johnson and her husband, Walter of Medway and several nieces and nephews. She also will be remembered fondly as “Aunt Teri” by many grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Anne McLaughlin and Sally McLaughlin.
Teri lavished much love on her nephews and nieces and particularly enjoyed special celebrations with family and friends. In earlier years she was also fond of cooking, entertaining, reading and traveling. She was a master of crewel embroidery, many pieces of which Teri gave as gifts.
Always style-conscious, she worked for more than thirty years until her retirement as manager of the Kordette Shop, a fashionable store for women, in Norwood.
During the early years of their marriage, the Cloughs built and maintained a home in Medway. In the early 1980s they retired to West Yarmouth. They remained on the Cape “vacationing” as Teri would quip, until 2006 when they returned to Medway to be closer to family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a brief funeral service on Wednesday, October 26 at 11 a.m. in the Ginley–Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 3–5 and 7-9 p.m.
