New Bedford – Evaristo S. Couto age 75 years, died at home with his loved one’s present, Thursday, October 20, 2011. He was the husband of Maria I. (Lima) Couto of New Bedford, loved father of Manuel Lima Couto and Eddie Duarte Couto both of New Bedford, brother of Gil Couto, Eduarda Cambra, and Maria Pires all of New Bedford.
Mr. Couto was a son of the late Maria deLourdes (Pereira) and Manuel DaSilva Couto. He was born in São Miguel Açores and has lived in New Bedford since 1971. He was formally employed as a machine Operator at Chamberlain Manufacturer until his retirement.
Mr. Couto’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Monday October 24,2011 at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 6-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
