Michael J. Milligan, 45, of Norton formerly of Attleboro, passed away, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home, on Monday October 17, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Christine M. (Stratton) Milligan, to whom he was wed on July 17, 2004.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 14, 1966, he was a loving son of James V. and Marilou (Frigon) Milligan of Norton.
Mike grew up in Attleboro and was a 1984 graduate of Attleboro High School. He furthered his education and was a 1986 graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute where he received his degree in Architectural Engineering. He also attended Wentworth Institute in Boston.
A resident of Norton for the past 3 years, Mr. Milligan was the proud owner of PM Properties in Norton, a company he helped to establish in 2003.
Mike, along with his family, was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. His hobbies included remodeling projects and home design.
An avid New England sports fan, he enjoyed playing softball and golfing. He loved being in the presence of family and friends and especially boating in Naples, Maine.
In addition to his beloved wife and loving parents, he is survived by his cherished children; James R. Milligan and MacKenzie M. Milligan both of Norton. The dear brother of Debra J. Stauble and her husband William of Amherst, New Hampshire and Kelly L. Allen and her husband Mark of North Attleboro, he is also survived by his mother and father in law Richard and Marie Stratton of Taunton, his brother in law Robert Stratton, sister in law Ingrid O’Connell, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Friday October 21st at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 20th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
