Bobby Gene Cone, 68, of Tifton died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts, Rev. Bill Barksdale and Rev. Billy Sumner will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Cone was born on November 16, 1942 in Moultrie and was the son of Walter Edward Cone and Sadie Cummings Cone, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He was a retired forklift operator from Tifton Aluminum Company and a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Cone is survived by his wife, Bobbie Faye Tabor Cone of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Dale and Donna Cone and Danny Gene and Tammy Cone, all of Tifton; one brother, William Cone of Thomasville; one sister, Wilda Henderson of Eldorado; and five grandchildren, Breanna Cone, Randall Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Brittney Bailey and Zach Arnold.
