COLLINS, George E. Of Mission Hill, died peacefully on October 17, 2011 at age 84. George was the husband of Helen T. (Sullivan) and the father of Brian of Dorchester, William (Sara) of Millis, Mark (Kathleen) Collins of West Roxbury, Rev. John A. Collins C.Ss.R. of Philadelphia, Marianne (David) Dewing of Reading, Patricia (Michael) Marchetti of Reading, Rev. George E. Collins S.J. of Fairfield, CT, Timothy (Patricia) Collins of Hingham and Helen (James) Waters of Needham. George is also survived by 18 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Julia Collins and his three brothers, Warren J. and Reverends William F. and John A. Collins, C.Ss.R. George served in the U.S. Army in Germany and was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of MA. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday from 3-8pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 10:30am at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church). Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George’s memory to Mission Church, 1545 Tremont St., Boston MA 02120
