Kenneth M. Stiouphile, 65, of Litchfield, NH died Monday October 17, 2011, surrounded by his family in the Community Hospice House of Merrimack, NH. Mr. Stiouphile was born in Laconia, NH on March 23, 1946, a son of the late Marc and Edna (Rollins) Stiouphile. He was raised and educated in Laconia, was a 1964 graduate of Laconia High School, and graduated from UNH in 1972. He served with the US Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Mr. Stiouphile had resided in Litchfield for the past 18 years, formerly of Maryland and Laconia.He was previously employed as an electrical engineer in Telecommunications with Jerrold Electronics and Continental Cablevision. He also worked during the 1992 presidential election providing transportation through Kelly Services, and had Paula Zahn, and Lisa Hughes among his passengers. He enjoyed model trains, and was a Lionel train aficionado. He was a household handyman who enjoyed tinkering with all things electrical. He also shared a close relationship with his nephew Eric.
Members of the family include his wife of 43 years, Maureen (King) Stiouphile of Litchfield, a daughter and her husband, Colleen and Darrell Gates of Auburn, a grandson, Jordan, a granddaughter, Kelsey, and a great granddaughter Emma, whom he was lucky enough to meet, a sister, Carol Delaney, and her husband Leo, two nephews, Eric and David Delaney, a niece, Donna Harris, as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Following cremation, an hour of visitation was held Friday October 21, from 2 to 3pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A memorial service followed at 3pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Community Hospice House 210 Naticook Road Merrimack, NH, 03054.
