Whitman - Diane L. Dunn, at the age of 60, lost her battle with brain cancer at 1:45am on Tuesday October 18, 2011. Her beauty and grace will be missed by all who knew her.
She was born on September 15, 1951 to parents Donald and Thelma Ferguson. She was born into a military family and traveled from base to base with them until she met her husband David Dunn. Diane and David were married in 1970 and enjoyed 40 years of happiness not only as man and wife but as best friends.
During her life Diane had worked in various administrative and project management roles for companies such as Smith’s Medical, and GE.
She had lived in Whitman for the past 35 years and is survived by her husband David, and their three sons Jonathan (28) of Quincy, Matthew (26) of Whitman, and Andrew (24) of Allston. In addition to her immediate family Diane is survived by her three brothers Roger Ferguson, Keith Ferguson, and Stuart Ferguson.
Her services will be held Saturday October 22 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Friday October 21 from 4-8 PM.
