Obituary

Marjorie T. (Kilgallon) Harrigan, 87, of Franklin died October 17 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Edmond P. Harrigan who died in 1993.
Born in Boston, February 9, 1924, the daughter of the late Martin and Celia (McGee) Kilgallon, Mrs. Harrigan was raised in Roslindale and had lived in Franklin for over 40 years.
She was a graduate of Roslindale High School and the Boston Business School.
Mrs. Harrigan had been a medical statistician at the former Southwood Hospital in Norfolk for over 10 years before retiring.
She had previously worked for many years at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston as a medical transcriptionist.
Marjorie was an active member of the Franklin Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed painting with oils and watercolors, line dancing, traveling and being with her family.Marjorie served in the Navy during the Korean War.
She is survived by her son Robert E. Harrigan of Randolph and her daughters, Mary C. Harrigan of Franklin and Elizabeth A. Riccio and her husband Anthony R. of Franklin.
She is also survived by her brother Martin Kilgallon of Boca Raton, Florida and her sisters, Anne Pierce of Delray Beach, Florida and Cecelia Reddy of Clearwater, Florida.
She was the sister of the late Katherine Kilgallon, Eleanor Kilgallon and Dorothy Gylnn.
She is also survived by her grandsons, Anthony Jr, Michael and Christopher Riccio.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 21 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 p.m.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
