Faye D. Blue, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2011, in the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Lonnie E. Dunbar, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Ms. Blue was born December 5, 1936 in Cordele, Georgia to the late Lonnie E. and Elizabeth “Lib” McKinney Dunbar. She was a 1955 graduate of Vienna High School and was a former resident of Albany before moving to Fitzgerald where she lived most of her life. Ms. Blue received her LPN training in Albany and at the Ben Hill County Hospital. She worked as an LPN for the Life Care Center and Osceola Nursing Home, both for over twenty years. Ms. Blue attended the Fitzgerald Church of God and the Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her children, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Blue (Steve) Griffin, Pamela Faye Blue (Glenn) Holley and Angela Dianne Blue, all of Fitzgerald; grandsons: Christian Blue and John David Grantham and fiancée; Katrina Hulett, Johnny Holley, Lev Holley and Wesley Holley; great grandchildren, Nathan Holley and Savannah Hernandez and a brother, Lonnie E. (Clara) Dunbar, Jr. of Vienna.
