Obituary

Anna M. (DeMichaelis) Geraci, of Winchester, formerly of Medford, died peacefully Thursday at the Winchester Hospital in the company of her loving family. She was 90.

Anna was born in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late Giovanni and the late Martha (Silverii) DeMichaelis. Anna lived most of her a life in Medford. After graduating from Medford High School, she went on to graduate from Burdette College in Boston. With her father she founded her family’s long-time business, State Garden, a produce company now located in Chelsea and still operated by the DeMichaelis family. With a legendary commitment for customer service and keen business acumen, Anna grew the company to a position of strength and stability in a competitive industry. The demands of business never kept her from being devoted to her family and sharing good times with those she loved.

The beloved wife of the late Leonard F. Geraci, she was a devoted sister to John DeMichaelis and his wife Marion of Reading, the late Dante and Jeremiah DeMichaelis. Anna is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Tuesday, October 18th at 11 AM. Services will conclude with entombment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
