Obituary

Ethel E. Carr, a resident of Medford for more than 44 years, died at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Melrose on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was 90 years old.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Orrin L. and Lillian (McIntosh) Carr. Ms. Carr was a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1938. She worked as a baker for First National Supermarket for many years. Prior to residing in Medford, Ethel was a resident of Somerville for over 47 years. She loved animals as well as traveling. She also loved to go out to eat in restaurants and always enjoyed going for walks in the park. Above all, Ethel was a very devoted family person, always willing to care for her many nieces and nephews. She was the lats survivor of nine siblings and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Medford.
Her funeral was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held on Friday, October 14, 2011, from 7 to 9 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
