Mary E. (White)(McKeown) Mullins age 91, of Rochester formerly of Brockton, died Thursday October 13, 2011 at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late J. Russell Mullins. Mary was born in Brockton a daughter of the late John and Mary (Bernier) White and had resided in Brockton for most of her life before moving to Rochester in 2006.
She was a 1939 graduate of Brockton High School and retired from Norris Industries in Easton. In her free time Mary enjoyed reading, singing, cooking, interior decorating, sewing and gardening. She also took pleasure in attending services at the Taunton Seventh Day Adventist Church where everyone enjoyed her smile. Most importantly, Mary treasured time spent with her family.
She was the mother of William McKeown and his wife Patricia of E. Bridgewater, Sandra (McKeown) Lacy and her husband David of W. Bridgewater and Patricia (Mullins) Arapoff and her husband Steven of Rochester. She was Memere to several grandchildren and great grandchildren and leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Emma Marzelli, William LeBlanc, Leona Bissonette and Robert White.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Monday 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
