TAUNTON – Jose Santos, husband of Elisa M. (Ribeiro) Santos, died at his Taunton home on Oct. 11, 2011.
He was 81.
Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Rosa (Conceicao) Santos.
Mr. Santos moved to the U.S. with his family in 1970.
Employed by the former Sheridan Silver Company as a buffer for many years, he retired several years ago.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Besides his wife of Taunton, he leaves a son, Honorato Santos of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Oct. 15th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 14th from 5 to 8 p.m.
