SWIRBALUS, ROBERT A. Age 74, of South Boston, died at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Bob was the loving husband of Paula (Cundari) Swirbalus & the devoted father of Robert Swirbalus & his wife, Susan. He leaves his brothers Joseph of Needham, & John of Weymouth. Predeaceased by his brother Paul & sister Joyce. Bob was a graduate of Boston Latin School, & received his bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He was retired from the Air Force Research Lab at Hanscom Field, after 40 years of service, where he worked as a Program Manager in the Remote Sensing Applications Branch. One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was boating, which he enjoyed as a past member of the Columbia & the Boston Harbor Yacht Clubs. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 18, at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St. in Dorchester.
