Obituary

Gerald F. "Jere" Hoyt, passed away on October 9, 2011 surrounded by the family he loved. He was 68 years old. A retired Reading Police Lieutenant and US Air Force Veteran, he moved to Lake Havasu in 1989. In Havasu, Jere was a member of Drury Lane Repertory Players. He served as lighting director and acted in numerous productions with other members of the Hoyt clan. He was preceded in death by his daughter Bonnie Hoyt and his father Carl H. Hoyt, Jr. Jere is survived by his wife Betsey, children Jennifer, Kathryn, James and Michelle Hoyt, Treavor Treanor of Lake Havasu City and Daniel Eady of Michigan. He was the loving grandfather of Tori Beth Gambill and Cierra Nicole Lowder, both of California. He was the loving son of Dorothy I. Hoyt and brother of Patricia Johns, Carol Ehlert, Linda and William Jones, Judith and Monte Owens, Constance and David Russell, Charles and Theresa Hoyt. A Memorial Service Celebrating Jere's Life will be held in the Chapel of the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. Reading on Saturday at 4pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family from 2-4pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please honor Jere by making donations in his memory to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, the Hospice of Havasu or Jerry's Kids MDA.
