Mary A. Bailey, 89, formerly of Smithfield, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Bridgton Hospital in Maine. She was the wife of Edgar Bailey. They were married March 25, 1944.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Bryan and Lillian (Burgess) Annable. She had lived in Smithfield before moving to her daughter's home in Maine.
She had worked at the fomer Industrial Bank. She was a homemaker, an avid reader, loved doing crossword puzzles and watching the birds and the squirrels.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Bryan and Glenn Bailey and Robin Mayes, her four grandchildren, her six great grandchildren and her siblings: Beverly Buiak and Bryan Annable and many neices and nephews. She was the mother of the late Barry Bailey.
A graveside service will be held Friday at Acote's Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Thursday 5-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
