Manchester– Charlotte M. Cote, 90, died October 9, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on December 25, 1920 the daughter of Charles and Edith (Simpson) Steele. She had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for J. F. McElwain Shoe Co. She was a sports fan, she especially loved the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins. She was also an avid bowler.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bertrand Cote who died November 5, 1997, a daughter, Janet Olsen who died May 21, 2008, and one sister Eileen Grenier.
Family members include one daughter, Lorraine Bleau and her husband Robert of Manchester, 4 grandchildren, Vicki Horton of Campton, Christopher Paradis of Weare, Jaime Campbell of Manchester, Danielle Olsen of Stoneham, MA., 4 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St.
