Joseph Leo Beaton, 52, of Lawrenceville, GA, and formerly of Derry, NH died Saturday October 8, 2011 at Embracing Hospice of Snellville, GA, after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 19, 1959 in Everett, MA and was the son of Leo A. Beaton and the late Anita L. (Murphy) Beaton who died in 2010. He was raised and educated in Derry, NH and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy.
Mr. Beaton was employed by Costco Inc. as an inventory control specialist. He worked for Costco for 19 years, and had relocated with the company several times, settling in Georgia, where he lived for several years. While in Georgia he developed many relationships and had many great friends. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, working in his yard, and planting trees and flowers. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Members of the family include his father of Bonita Springs, FL., a brother David Beaton and his wife Sonia of East Derry, a sister, Denise Gagnon and her husband Robert of Londonderry, NH, several nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew.
Calling hours were held Thursday October 13, 2011 from 4 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry, NH. Following cremation, a graveside service was held on Saturday October 15th at 10:00 am at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
