E. Wuanita Madan, 88

E. Wuanita (McLeod) Madan, 88, of Mansfield passed away on Monday October 10, 2011 at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Easton. She was the wife of the late William Clapp and the former wife of the late Charles Madan.
Born in Mansfield, MA on January 10, 1923, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Edna (Wills) McLeod.
Wuanita grew up in Easton on her families farm and was educated in Easton public schools. She had resided for most of her life in Mansfield and had also made her home in Attleboro for several years.
Mrs. Madan was a retired Quality Control Inspector, having worked at the former L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro and North Attleboro for many years before retiring. When younger, she had also worked at the former Mansfield Bleachery in Mansfield.
A member for many years of the Mansfield United Methodist Church, Waunita was an avid camper and enjoyed many years of camping at the Ellis Haven Campground in Carver. Her other hobbies included sewing and crafts, and she especially enjoyed spending time in the presence of her family.
She is survived by her devoted children William C. Madan and his wife Michelle of Titusville, Florida, Marilyn E. Boutin and her husband Robert of Fall River and the late Brenda W. Paille. The sister of Marilyn E. Avallone of Cape Coral, Florida, Mrs. Madan is also survived by her grandchildren; Jay, Pauline, Jackie, Wes and Bob, as well as 7 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday October 15th from 1-3 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. at the conclusion of visiting hours at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
