Lena Seluta, 99 of Medford, died Saturday after a brief illness in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Hartford, CT, she lived in Medford since 1959 and formerly of the West End of Boston. Lena was the daughter of the late Carmela (D'Augusto) and Antonio Giliberto.
Beloved wife of the late James Seluta. Devoted mother of James Seluta and his wife Karen of PA, Anthony Seluta and his wife Maureen of Arlington, Mary Sforza and her husband John of Ipswich, Carmela "Carmie" Shea and her husband Leo of Plymouth, and the late Robert Seluta. Also survived by 13 loving grandchildren and 14 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Steve Giliberto and his wife Anne of East Boston, Vincent Giliberto and his wife Lucy of Arlington, Sal Giliberto and his wife Rosita of Medford, the late Connie Previti and her late husband Tony.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
