Obituary

John T. Dolan, Jr., 73, of Windham, NH died Sunday evening February 29, 2004 in the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH. Mr. Dolan was born in N. Andover, MA on July 26, 1930, a son of the late John T. and Ellen (Broadhead) Dolan Sr. He had resided in Windham since 1970, formerly living in Fairbanks, Alaska. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1995 as an electrician for General Electric in Wilmington, MA which later became Amtech. He was a member of the Derry-Salem Elks, the VFW in Hudson and the American Legion in Pelham. He was also a member of the Pelham Rod & Gun Club and was an avid sportsman.

He is survived by one son, Michael P. Dolan of Windham, two daughters, Lisa Desmond and her husband Robert of Milford, NH, Jane Gerry and her husband Mark of Chester, NH, four grandchildren, one sister, Alice McCarthy of N. Andover, MA, and one brother, George Dolan of Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his wife Mary P. (Shine) Dolan in 1995.

Friends may call on Friday March 5th from 9 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 11 Vanderbilt Ave., Suite 105, Norwood, MA 02062-5056.
