Edward Maynard, age 65 of Fall River, passed away Oct. 6, 2011. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Medeiros) Maynard. Prior to retiring, Ed worked for 25 years as a Security Guard at B.M.C. Durfee High School. He was a member of the “Over the Hill Gang”, a volunteer at the Fall River Seniors Center, and he enjoyed politics where he would volunteer for many candidates.
He leaves 2 sons: Kenny Maynard of Swansea & Edward Maynard Jr.; 6 siblings: Fall River School Committeeman Robert Maynard, Raymond Maynard, Richard Maynard & Agnes Leduc all of Fall River, George Maynard of Westport, & Claudia Beirola of Tiverton; several grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. Several brothers and sisters also predeceased him.
His funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
