Deborah J. McAssey, 62, of Avenue A died suddenly on October 6, 2011 while at home. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Mildred (MacLeod) McAssey.
Deborah worked as a Unit Secretary for Landmark Medical Center for forty years. She was a graduate of RI Jr. College.
Deborah is survived by one sister, Patricia E. Moore and her husband Paul of Cumberland and two brothers, James T. McAssey and his wife Suzanne of Woonsocket and P. Michael McAssey and his wife Jody of Forestdale. She was the beloved aunt of four nieces, four nephews and thirteen great-nieces and great-nephews. Her extended family included Herta Chandler and Amanda Fontaine and her family.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00AM from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart Church, Olo St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours are Thursday, from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deborah's name to Sacred Heart Church.
