John F. Spadafora Sr., a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on October 8, 2011. He was 75 years old. He was the devoted husband to Dianne M. (Marinella) Spadafora for 48 years.
The son of the late Fred and Louise (DiGiantomasso) Spadafora, John worked his entire life in the catering business along with his parents in the Summerside Lodge on Summer St. in Malden. A member of the Italian American Citizens Club, John served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard.
John was the beloved father of John F. Spadafora, Jr. and his wife Angela, Lisa M. Solis and her husband Joseph and Melissa L. Crowley and her husband Frank, all of Malden. He was the cherished grandfather of Jessica and John Spadafora III, Jordana, Emilio and Santina Solis and Jacob and Mikara Crowley. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main St., Malden on Wednesday, October 12th at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 11th from 4-8pm. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery.
