Goffstown– Alice J. Belanger, 72, died October 7, 2011 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born in Chicopee Falls, MA., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Dion) Stanek.
She had worked for Manchester Knitted Fashions till it’s closing then for National Embroidery Co..
She held membership in Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 8214 and the Social Committee of St. Lawrence Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Belanger who died February 19, 1970, and a sister Theresa Donovan.
Members of her family include two sons, Lionel A. Belanger and Richard A. Belanger both of Goffstown: three brothers Robert Stanek of Springfield, MA., Albert Stanek of Holyoke, MA., George Stanek of Hamden, MA.; three sisters, Rita Labrecque of Manchester, NH, Pauline Stanek of Andover, NH.; Helen Manseau of Strafford, NH.; four grandchildren, Nicolas and Dylan Belanger both
of Manchester and Zachery and Brandon Belanger both of Goffstown: several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 AM in St. Lawrence Church, 1 E. Union St., Goffstown, NH. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Parish Building Fund, 1 E. Union St., Goffstown, NH 03045.
