Obituary

WEBSTER - Paul R. “Reggie” Proulx, 44, of 21 Eddy Street, died Sunday, February 29, at Saint Vincent Hosptial, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 15 years, Marlene A. (Richard) Proulx; a daughter, Julianne Proulx at home; his mother, Constance T. (LaFleche) Proulx of Southbridge; 4 brothers, Richard A. Proulx of Westford, Ronald D. Proulx of Boxborough, Peter J. Proulx of Charlton, and Robert O. Proulx of Southbridge; a sister, Pamela A. Clemence of Ayer; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice (Krawczyk) and Albert W. Richard of Webster; his god-parents, Walter P. and Suzanne Seremet of Southbridge; aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Christopher P. Proulx on April 10,1991, and by his father, Paul A. Proulx on September 1, 2000.

He was born and raised in Southbridge, and graduated from Southbridge High School in 1977, and attended UMass Amherst. He was a member and altar server at Notre Dame Church, Southbridge during his youth. He played softball for the Southbridge Merchants in the Southbridge Softball Association many years ago.

Mr. Proulx was employed as a branch manager by John Deere Landscapes of Swansea. He also worked part-time weekends at the courtesy booth at Price Chopper, Webster, for several years.

He was a communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica and a member of its Knights of Columbus, Council 12980, its Sacred Heart Society and its Holy Rosary Sodality. He was also active in parish festivals. He was coach of the Saint Joseph School Girls Varsity Basketball Team. He was a member of the Friday Night Couples Bowling League at Mohegan Bowl-A-Drome. He loved all sports, especially golfing and bowling.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 3, from Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are Tuesday, March 2, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
