CHERRY VALLEY-Robert C. Grammatic, 65, of 506-10 Stafford Street, died, Monday, March 1st in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife and companion of 31 years, June A. (Goddard) Grammatic, a daughter, Robin, wife of David Mara of W. Yarmouth, a brother, Ronald and his wife Theresa Grammatic of Rochdale, 2 nephews, Ronald and Richard Grammatic, a niece, Charlene Grammatic, 3 step children, David Clay of Leicester, Steven Clay of Worcester and Melanie Morin of Worcester, 2 grandchildren, Courtney and Ryan Mara, 5 Step grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon and Luke Clay and Scott and Patrick Morin.
He was born in Worcester the son of Christopher and Evelyn (Scherdell) Grammatic and was a graduate of Commerce High School and Worcester Junior College. Mr. Grammatic was a finance manager for several area auto dealerships for many years and also worked at the Gun Room in Shrewsbury. He was a member of the Worcester Masonic Lodge, enjoyed gourmet food, cruises, traveling and trips to Florida and Cape Cod.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6th in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association, 1 Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA, 02346.
