SALEM- Jane S. Sarnowska, 83, formerly of Salem, died Saturday, February 28, 2004, at the Blueberry Hill Nursing Home, Beverly, following a long illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Helena (Bruzdowski) Sarnowski.
Prior to her retirement in 1985, she was employed for 44 years by the Essex County and worked in Salem as an Assistant Clerk of Courts.
A lifelong resident of Salem until moving to the nursing home, she was a lifelong parishioner of the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem, a member of the Polish Business and Professional Women's Club of Greater Boston and the Polish Women's American Citizens Club of Salem.
Miss Sarnowska is survived by 3 nieces, Jane E. and her husband, James Moroney of Hathorne, Mary Jane and her husband Kent Robarts of Ossipee, New Hampshire, Roseanne and her husband Fred Neidhart of Bristow, Virginia, , two nephews, William J. Sarnowski and Theodore Sarnowski, both of Danvers, one grand nephew, Christopher Neidhart of Bristow, Virginia, and one sister-in-law, Jane A. Sarnowski of Salem. She was predeceased by two brothers, John T. Sarnowski, Theodore Sarnowski, two sisters, Sabina A. Brudzynski, Satura Sarnowska, and one nephew, Stephen R. Sarnowski.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 10 am in the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will be held in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem on Tuesday morning, from 8:30 to 9:45 am, prior to the funeral Mass.
